FeverA fever is a temporary increase in one's body temperature. It often indicates that their is an illness such as the flu, stomach virus, or infection. Normal body temperature is between 97.5-99.5F. To be considered a fever someone has a temperature of greater than 99.6 degrees F. Seek medical attention if the fever rises above 103 degrees F.

Symptoms include fever, sore throat, feeling unwell or sick, irritability, loss of appetite and a rash on the hands, feet and mouth. Pain medications can relieve symptoms. It usually clears up after ten days.
