What is FAPE?FAPE is a free and Appropriate Public Education. It is from IDEIA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). FAPE is determined on a case by case basis because each student has specific and individual needs to meet that same level of succeeding. FAPE means that the education program for each student is designed to meet the student's unique needs. Its goal is to prepare students for further education, employment, and independent living to the extent possible in the given circumstances.
